How Quake works

Everything you need to get your Quake Band set up and waking you on time.

Our goal is simple: help you wake up on your own, without the morning fight.

Quake wakes you with a vibration on your wrist instead of a sound your brain files as background. Below you'll find how to set it up, how to set your alarms, and answers to the questions people ask most.

Getting started with Quake

Waking up with the Quake band on the wrist
1

Set it

Set up to 3 alarms straight on the band using the button. No app, no phone, no Bluetooth.

2

Wear it

Slip it on before bed. It's light silicone, comfortable enough to forget you're wearing it.

3

Wake up

At alarm time it buzzes on your wrist and climbs through intensity levels until you're up.

Everything you need to know
1. Setting the time

Press the button once to wake the display and show the time.

Press and hold the button for 3 seconds to start adjusting. The hour will begin to flash. Press the button to set the hour, then hold for 3 seconds to move to the minutes. Repeat this to set the minutes, then the month, day and year.

You can choose between a 12-hour or 24-hour format. When you're done, don't press anything for about 8 seconds and the band will save your settings and return to standby.

2. Setting your alarms

Press the button twice to open the first alarm. If the screen shows "A1 OF", that alarm is currently off.

To turn it on, press and hold for 3 seconds. The hour will flash. Press to set the hour, hold for 3 seconds to move to the minutes, set them, then hold for 3 seconds to save. Your alarm is now active.

Once set, an alarm repeats at the same time every day until you turn it off or change it, so for a fixed wake-up time you only set it once.

To set more alarms, press the button three or four times to reach the next alarm slots and follow the same steps. You can set up to 3 alarms.

To turn an alarm off: go to that alarm, hold for 3 seconds, then press until "A1 OF" appears, and hold for 3 seconds again.

3. Charging and battery

To check the battery level, press and hold the button for 3 seconds while the band is idle and it will show the percentage.

To charge, detach the display module from the strap and plug it straight into any USB port. A full charge takes around an hour and lasts up to 14 days depending on use. No cable or adapter needed.

Questions?

We've got you covered
Will this actually wake me up?
You're not sleeping through your alarm because you can't hear it. You hear it, your brain just files it as background and lets you stay asleep. Quake reaches you a different way, with a vibration on your wrist that your brain reads as urgent, and it climbs through levels until you're up. If it doesn't wake you within 100 days, you're covered by our money-back guarantee.
It hasn't woken me yet. What can I do?
Most wake-up issues are a quick setup fix. Try this:
  • Set all 3 alarms with a 15-minute gap between them, so your body has more than one prompt to respond to.
  • Wear the band snug against the top of your wrist, not loose, so you feel the full vibration.
  • Check the alarm is switched on (not left on the default "off") and that the band is charged.

How long does the vibration last?
The vibration runs for about 2 minutes and then stops automatically.
Can I snooze the alarm?
There's no traditional snooze button, which is part of why it works. You can create a snooze effect by setting multiple alarms a few minutes apart. You can set up to 3.
Why do different numbers appear on the display?
That's normal. The display cycles through three types of information:
  • The time
  • The date
  • The day of the week (for example, 5 means Friday)
Can I turn the alarm off for just one day?
Yes, but it needs to be done manually. The alarm won't turn itself back on the next day, so remember to switch it on again when you need it.
What if I find out it's not for me?
You're covered by our 100-day money-back guarantee. If Quake doesn't work for you, return it for a refund. See our return policy for details.
